Non-contact method for determining the efficiency of thermoelectric materials
Abstract
Thermoelectric effects occurring in a sample placed in a measuring oscillatory circuit have been investigated. It has been shown that the asymmetric nature of the flowing current leads to volumetric stratification of the induced Foucault currents and Peltier heat generation areas of the thermoelectric sample, which results in an increase in irreversible heat losses recorded by the measuring oscillatory circuit. The presence of this effect has led to the emergence of an original non-contact method for recording the efficiency of various thermoelectric materials.
