Calculation of the transformation factor of a conductimetric biosensor

Abstract
A five-component model for calculating the transformation factor of planar comb electrodes in a conductimetric biosensor is proposed. The existing three-component model is extended by two additional terms that account for the electric field at electrode corners and electrode thickness. It is also suggested to round the electrode corners. Graphical results of the conductimetric sensor constant calculations are presented.
