State and development trends of waveguide emitters based on A³B⁵ compounds

Abstract

The specific features of research on electronic components for fiber-optic systems are reviewed. The current state and possible ways of optimizing the parameters of semiconductor waveguide emitters are presented. Emerging trends in improving and developing the physical and technological aspects of fabricating waveguide emitters are discussed. The reported results are of interest for the design of various types of emitters intended for optical information transmission systems.
