Abstract
A device based on a field-programmable gate array (FPGA) is proposed for generating control signals for a discrete-type actuator using a stepper motor. The implementation of full-step and half-step operating modes is demonstrated through phase winding control using an FPGA circuit from Altera. The results of experiments confirm the operability of the device and the achievement of the specified parameters of the generated signals.
