Analytical electronic balances with a digital–analog compensation channel

Abstract

A system for automating the process of continuous precise weighing based on electronic balances with a digital–analog channel of electromagnetic compensation is presented. The sample mass is determined by the current in the coil, with the compensating current source built on a digital–analog converter and its value set programmatically. The deviation signal of the moving system from the zero position is used by the control computer for automatic correction of the compensating current when the mass of the sample under study changes.
