Abstract

The possibility of using micromechanical tuning elements in the creation of generating structures based on Gunn diodes (GD) has been demonstrated. The feasibility of both smooth and discrete adjustment to specified output parameters of GD-based generators is shown. Issues of improving the temperature stabilization of generating GIS are considered. The proposed designs have been applied in the development of microwave and millimeter-wave sources in a number of experimental design projects.
