Abstract

The study investigates the heat transfer intensity of a wire radiator made of copper wire with a diameter of 0.12 mm under conditions of cooling a 2T808A transistor with a dissipated power of 5 W. With horizontal orientation of the radiator, the average heat transfer coefficient under natural air convection was 53.4 W/(m2·°С), and under forced convection it reached 368 W/(m2·°С). These values are 5.9 times higher than those of loop-wire finning made of copper wire with a diameter of 0.68 mm under natural convection, and 4.5 times higher under forced convection (for wire diameter 0.5 mm).
