High-stability waveguide band-pass filters with extended tuning range
Abstract
A new approach is proposed for the design of waveguide programmable mechanically tunable band-pass filters distinguished by stable characteristics and constant passband width during tuning across a wide frequency range. The paper presents results of theoretical studies, design, fabrication, adjustment, and testing of working prototypes. The excellent performance of the developed filter opens up opportunities for creating fundamentally new transmitting stations for communication systems.
