Abstract

A weakly acidic citrate solution for electroless nickel plating is proposed, containing accelerating and stabilizing additives, and characterized by a sufficiently high deposition rate of coatings containing up to 11 wt.% of phosphorus. The spent solution can be easily neutralized and regenerated by precipitating the nickel-citrate complex.
