Abstract

The operating conditions of LCD monitors as part of aviation onboard instruments are considered. The requirements for the design of an LCD monitor for operation under harsh conditions are formulated. Possible options for implementing LCD matrix backlighting to ensure the necessary brightness depending on the external illumination of the monitor screen are analysed.
