Abstract

The results of investigation in design of high speed modulators based on planar microring resonators were made. The design and features of microresonator structures in optical modulators and Mach–Zehnder interferometers were considered. The possibilities of the use of microresonators as wavelength selectors, switch channels, multiplexers/demultiplexers, switches and routers are shown.
