Abstract

A two-coordinate photodiode based on the longitudinal photoelectric effect has been developed and investigated. It enables the precise acquisition of symmetric coordinate characteristics in terms of slope and longitudinal resistance. It has been shown that the most favorable form of the coordinate characteristic is observed when scanning with an optical probe across the central part of the photosensitive element. Possible ways of improving the photodiode parameters are discussed.
