Abstract

The metrological aspects of technogenic electromagnetic fields (EMF) are considered. Results of measurements of the electric field strength near arbitrary sources using different types of instruments are presented. The necessity of harmonizing the parameters of measuring equipment with the current regulatory framework defining permissible EMF levels is demonstrated, along with the need for developing new standards for EMF measurements in the vicinity of field sources.
