Ultralight oscillator modules for millimeter-wave therapy
Abstract
Original design and technological solutions have been developed to create ultralight oscillator modules (OMs) for millimeter-wave therapy, which can be easily fixed to the patient’s body. The construction of the basic module and its active element—a low-current semiconductor Gunn diode—is described. The principal differences of the authors’ solutions and the application of these modules in the RAMED EXPERT device are presented. The modules feature stable parameters, dimensions reduced by a factor of 2–4, and mass reduced by a factor of 10–100. They are highly technological, relatively inexpensive, and can be used not only in medicine.
