Illumination channel of a digital optical microscope based on a diffusion emitter

Abstract
Diffuse emitters based on small integrating spheres have been investigated as radiation sources in digital optical microscopes. The advantages of such emitters are mathematically substantiated in terms of ensuring uniform illumination. A methodology for calculating the main characteristics of the emitters is presented, along with recommendations for their practical application.
