Fundamentals of impedance matching technology at the interface between air and a ferromagnetic medium
Abstract
Based on the condition of equality of wave impedances at the boundary between “air–lossy medium,” and taking into account the definition of the complex reflection coefficient of a plane electromagnetic wave incident normally, as well as a wave with an arbitrary angle of incidence having perpendicular or parallel polarization, quantitative relations are obtained between the required values of the parameters of the lossy medium, namely, the relative dielectric and magnetic permeabilities and the relative electrical and magnetic conductivities. The derived relations form the basis for the technology of impedance matching at the boundary of arbitrary media.
