Abstract

A set of measuring instruments has been developed, including an average power meter with an extended measurement range (from +3 to –70 dBm), an optical tester with an integrated optical radiation source, a power meter with extended service functions, and an “optical probe” for observing the shape of optical signals. The main characteristics of the instruments are presented. The functional diagram of the basic design—the average power meter IT1701—is considered, and the operating mechanism and features of the functional subsystems are described.
