Abstract

This paper discusses an approach to designing a spaceborne side-looking radar with wide swath coverage and synthetic aperture antenna, achieving a resolution of 100–300 m. The proposed solution is based on applying amplitude modulation of probing pulses with a coherent signal, followed by its extraction and classical processing.
